Privacy Policy & Terms

This application features an ultra-secure, fully offline on-device encrypted database container. None of your notes or master passwords are ever transmitted to external servers.

1. Device-Only Local Encryption Commitments (Local-First Encryption)

All cryptography operations (including PBKDF2 hashing, AES key derivation, and local password verification) run locally within your secure device vault. We do not store or upload your Master or Ghost Passwords. If you lose your password, your notebook is permanently sealed. We cannot recover it.

2. Standard Cryptography Standards (Security Standards)

We use industry-standard AES-256-GCM for file/text encryption alongside PBKDF2 hash iterations to protect your access keys. This ensures absolute protection even in occurrences of hardware theft or physical filesystem duplication.

3. Vault Forensics Protections

All attached Files, documents, photo folders, and database ZIP backups are stored strictly inside the native capacitor device vault, preventing external scanning or exfiltration from other local applications.

4. Local Recovery Key Protocol (Password Recovery)

During initial secure wizard setup, a unique 24-character local Recovery Key is derived and shown to you. You must write down and save this Offline Recovery Key in a secure place. If you ever forget your Master Password, this Recovery Key is the only mathematical way to bypass the lockout mechanism and reset your password. If you lose both your password and your recovery key, your notes will remain permanently encrypted and lost forever.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty & Liability (Standard Disclaimer)

This application is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. Since all encryption keys are generated and stored exclusively on your local device, you bear sole responsibility for your credentials, backups, and recovery keys. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any loss of data, corrupted backups, or irreversible locking of information resulting from forgotten passcodes or lost recovery keys.
